“African American Childbirth during Jim Crow: Albany and Camilla.”  This presentation will feature the film, All My Babies, about Albany Midwife Mary Coley, and a panel discussion about Miss Bea’s, a Camilla facility where African American babies were born.  Speakers include Mrs. Arilla Smiley, a midwife at Miss Bea’s, Jacquelyn Briscoe, and Camilla’s first African American mayor, Mary Jo Haywood.
